Spherical Roller Beaing Solid-Block Housed Units
Higher performance and longer life
Spherical roller bearing mounting units with solid housings Harsh operating conditions and problems with lubrication are frequent causes of damage to bearing housings. Timken® Solid Housings with primary and secondary seals and steel covers, which are available on all Timken® Solid Housings, provide significantly improved protection. This protection is further enhanced by the fillable lubrication recess between the primary and secondary seals. In addition, the built-in units are characterized by their extended operating times and the resulting cost reductions.
Exceptional solutions
Under difficult operating conditions, your equipment requires roller bearing housings that are strong enough to withstand the harshest conditions and perform at their best. Timken® spherical roller bearing housings with solid housings give you both.

Main feature
Features and benefits
- Comprehensive range of sizes. The wide range of products allows the replacement of almost all roller bearing units and very many ball bearing units with solid housing units.
- Faster mounting. Milled feet, extraction holes, burnished inner rings and numerous shafts locking options ensure that these high performance units are easy to mount.
- Increased service life. Timken's rugged steel housing, wide variety of possible seals, and heavy-duty spherical roller bearing increase unit life.
- Multidirectional shaft alignment. Double-nut housings allow the unit to change from fixed to floating in any direction.
- Unique shaft alignment on all housing types. Milled feet allow for precise mounting and, if a stop is used, allow the unit to be replaced more quickly in the future.
- Fewer misalignment problems. The bearings tolerate misalignment up to ±1.5 degrees.
- Easier replacement thanks to extraction holes on all units with guide flange.
- Many sizes available to accommodate shafts from 35 mm to 380 mm.
- More seal options optimize performance in highly polluted environments.
- Protection against excessive lubrication. Units with non-flushable seals are equipped with pressure compensation valves as standard.
- Increased shaft retention and less shaft damage. The eccentric locking series provides secure retention even in reversing applications.
- Manufactured to order. Fast delivery and custom manufacturing for specific applications.

Optional: Steel covers to protect the roller bearings
Protect the roller bearings in installation units with stable and cost-effective covers. They are specifically designed to resist heavy contamination for industries where particulate matter is a challenge, such as forestry, steel, mining, pulp and paper, aggregate and cement. These steel covers have a black oxide coating for better corrosion protection.
